1. Introduction of montmorillonite desiccant:

Montmorillonite desiccant(Al2O3 · 4sio2 · nH2O): pure natural montmorillonite is produced from natural montmorillonite after mining, carbonization of organic matter at high temperature, expansion of montmorillonite ore body, steam treatment, drying, drying, activation, crushing, screening and selection. Without any additives and soluble substances, it is a non-corrosive, non-toxic, pollution-free green environmental protection products, excellent compatibility; it can be treated as general waste. The hygroscopicity is stable at various temperatures, and it is not corrosive even if it is in direct contact with metal.

2. Montmorillonite desiccant knowledge:

Montmorillonite is a mineral composed of very fine-grained hydrous aluminosilicate, which is generally massive or earthy. Under the electron microscope, lamellar crystals can be seen in montmorillonite, with the color of white gray, light blue or light red. When the temperature reaches 100-200 ℃, the water molecules in montmorillonite will gradually run away.

After dehydration, montmorillonite can also reabsorb water molecules or other polar molecules. When they absorb water, they can also expand to several times their original volume. Montmorillonite has a variety of uses. Its characteristics are applied to chemical reactions to produce adsorption and purification.

It can also be used as a filler for paper making, rubber and cosmetics, raw materials for oil decolorization and cracking catalyst, mud for geological drilling, binder for metallurgy and medicine, etc.

The definition of montmorillonite products in China is not uniform, which often leads to ambiguity of montmorillonite products. At present, there are two definitions of montmorillonite products. One is the definition of montmorillonite in non-metallic mineral industry: montmorillonite is called montmorillonite if the content of montmorillonite in clay ore is more than 80%, such as montmorillonite desiccant. The content of montmorillonite product is qualitatively and quantitatively determined by blue absorption method, and the grade is nothing more than high-purity bentonite.

Montmorillonite is a major component of bentonite, but bentonite is not montmorillonite, and montmorillonite is not bentonite, but montmorillonite needs to be purified from bentonite; the other is the requirements for montmorillonite products in medicine and cosmetics industry, which is the real sense of montmorillonite, and its concept is close to the definition of montmorillonite in the field of scientific research and research XRD and other methods were used for qualitative and quantitative analysis. In order to distinguish the montmorillonite from the nonmetal mineral industry, octahedral montmorillonite or hexagonal montmorillonite is often used at home and abroad.

3. Advantages of montmorillonite desiccant

1. The moisture absorption property of montmorillonite desiccant can keep stable under various temperature environment, even if it contacts with metal directly, it has no corrosivity.

2. High bulk density, high volume moisture absorption rate, and small occupied volume when packing with the same weight.

3. Non toxic, tasteless, corrosion-free, pollution-free, no environmental pollution; pure natural products, adsorption speed is extremely fast, adsorption capacity is greater, 100% degradable; non-toxic, non-corrosive, green environmental protection, low price, is the replacement product of silica gel desiccant.

4. Because of its neutral pH value and high moisture absorption rate in low humidity environment, it is widely used in metal and precision electronic and electrical products with high environmental requirements, such as electronics, electrical appliances, instruments and meters, hardware equipment, etc.

5. High cost performance

4. Precautions for montmorillonite desiccant:

Precautions:

1. Seal the package with dry air, and the desiccant should be placed in the appropriate part of the packaging container to ensure that all sealed spaces are hygroscopic by the desiccant as far as possible. For the protection of valuable materials, it is necessary to increase the amount of desiccant to prevent the loss caused by condensation. Rain, damp and sun exposure shall be avoided during transportation.

2. Put the montmorillonite desiccant and the product to be protected into the packaging bag, and then seal (important + 1).

3. In the process of use, the unused products should be sealed as soon as possible to avoid affecting the effect. The exposure time in the air should not exceed 2 hours.
